Last updated: 9 June 2026. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of TrustKard and forms part of our Terms & Conditions. It applies to everything you do on the platform, including the content of your digital cards, profiles, short links and QR codes, your use of lead capture and messaging, and your use of the store.
1. Purpose
This AUP sets out the conduct and content that are not permitted on the platform. It protects our users, the people who interact with cards and links, and the integrity of the Service. You are responsible for your own use of the Service and for the use by anyone acting under your account or within your company.
2. Prohibited Content
You must not create, publish, link to, or distribute through the Service any content that:
- is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, or that incites violence or discrimination;
- is sexually explicit, exploits or endangers minors, or is otherwise harmful or offensive;
- infringes the intellectual-property, privacy, publicity or other rights of any person, including using logos, trademarks, images or contact details you are not authorised to use;
- is false, misleading or deceptive, or impersonates any person, company or brand, or misrepresents your affiliation with them;
- promotes illegal goods or services, scams, pyramid or get-rich-quick schemes, or other deceptive practices; or
- contains malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt, damage or gain unauthorised access to systems or data.
3. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
- use cards, links, QR codes or contact forms to send spam, unsolicited marketing, phishing or other unwanted communications;
- capture, collect or process personal information through lead forms or reviews without a lawful basis and any consents required under POPIA, or use captured contact details for purposes the data subject would not reasonably expect;
- publish fake, incentivised or misleading reviews, or manipulate ratings;
- use the store to place fraudulent orders, use stolen or unauthorised payment methods, or initiate unwarranted chargebacks; or
- resell, sublicense or provide access to the Service to third parties except under an authorised reseller arrangement.
4. Security and Platform Abuse
You must not:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, company, data or system, or probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the platform;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, for example through denial-of-service attacks, flooding links or forms, or overloading our infrastructure;
- scrape, harvest or systematically extract data from the Service except through interfaces we provide and within their documented limits;
- circumvent, disable or otherwise interfere with usage limits, billing controls, rate limits, security features, or content validation safeguards;
- reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code of the Service except to the extent permitted by law; or
- use the Service to store or transmit content on behalf of others in a way that disguises its origin or evades these rules.
5. Content Standards and Responsibility
All content you publish must be accurate, lawful, and something you have the right to share. You are solely responsible for the content of your cards, profiles, links and messages, and for ensuring they comply with this AUP, applicable laws and any third-party terms (including those of wallet, payment and integration providers).
6. Enforcement and Consequences
We may investigate suspected violations of this AUP and, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law, remove or disable offending content, deactivate cards, links or QR codes, apply rate limits, suspend or terminate accounts or companies, and report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities. Where reasonable, we will give notice before taking action, but we may act immediately where there is a risk of harm, legal exposure, or ongoing abuse.
7. Reporting Abuse
If you become aware of content or activity on the Service that violates this AUP, please report it to us using the support details published on our website. Please include enough information (such as the relevant link, card or page) for us to investigate.
